Mannie Fresh & Cash Money reach settlement
“I left Cash Money because of money, scratch, moola. I move on if something’s not right. I had to do my thing, because it wasn’t right. I still holla at everyone. I still get along with them dudes. I still look at them like brothers. Its just a growing up thing and I had to move on.”
Cash Money’s former in-house producer, the man who forged the unmistakable New Orleans-based label’s sound, Mannie Fresh has finally reached a settlement with his former label.
Just as BG and Juvenile had before him, Mannie Fresh left Cash Money after disputes with Cash Money CEO Bryan “Baby” Williams regarding payment. In the latest Smack DVD, Mannie Fresh revealed;
“I left Cash Money because of money, scratch, moola. I move on if something’s not right. I had to do my thing, because it wasn’t right. I still holla at everyone. I still get along with them dudes. I still look at them like brothers. Its just a growing up thing and I had to move on.”
Mannie Fresh and Baby once paired as the group ‘Big Tymers’ (pictured).
Conditions of the agreement dictate that neither party can discuss the terms of the settlement, however Mannie Fresh has started his own record label, Chubby Boy Records.
