DMX Fails To Appear In Court

DMX was due to make an appearance in court on Wednesday to face several charges of reckless driving, but never appeared in the courtroom. City Court Judge Barbara Leak had already granted DMX two postponements prior to Wednesday, and subsequently issued a warrant for DMX’s arrest.

Another day, another non-music-related DMX story …

DMX was due to make an appearance in court on Wednesday to face several charges of reckless driving, but never appeared in the courtroom. City Court Judge Barbara Leak had already granted DMX two postponements prior to Wednesday, and subsequently issued a warrant for DMX’s arrest.

“We have granted him a number of courtesies” Said Judge Leak. “It ends now.”

X’s lawyer, Stacey Murray, promised the judge that DMX would appear in court on Thursday, although I have a feeling I’ll be re-typing this story on Friday. Murray offered the excuse that DMX had flown back to New York for the trial from Arizona (where he was nearly arrested, see story) but had fallen ill and couldn’t make it.
