HipHopSodaShops coming soon to NY
HipHopSodaShops, nationally franchised chain of theme restaurants in the US, are opening two new locations in New York; one in Manhattan and one in Harlem.
HipHopSodaShops, nationally franchised chain of theme restaurants in the US, are opening two new locations in New York; one in Manhattan and one in Harlem.
The restaurants are similar to the now-defunct Planet Hollywood or All Star Cafes, offering video games, blaring hip hop music and merchandise for sale. The reason we’re reporting this is the ridiculous menu items, for example:
“MC’s Hammajamma,” a ham and cheese “rap” laced with strawberry jam, “Ja Rula’s Tuna Meltdown” and “Snoop’s drop it like it’s Hot Dogg.” Salads, called “hi-greens,” are more marijuana-influenced with names like “Toast’d Thai.”
Juelz Santana and NBA star Ben Gordon are two of the primary investors in the Harlem franchise, which will be located on 125th St. “We’re building a real home for the hip-hop generation complete with all the things we love to do,” said Mr. Santana in a statement.
