This from IMBD.com:
Tyler Gage is a street smart juvenile delinquent, with a reckless streak that lands him in a world of trouble after he and his friends trash an auditorium at a high school for the performing arts. Sentenced to do community service at the school, he at first wants nothing to do with the students, until he meets a beautiful dancer who’s willing to give him a shot. Against all expectations, Ty gets drawn into her world, and discovers his own talent for dance.
With a tagline this good, “Every second chance begins with a first step”, I’m sure it’ll be a hit. However, I don’t think the soundtrack will help this fish-outta-water tale. It’s already competing with a better movie about ballet, Centre Stage [2000], and the sequel to Duane Adler’s ‘urban’ dance success, Save The Last Dance, conincidently called Steppin Up: Save The Last Dance 2.
Chris Rock look-a-like, Mario, also stars. Check the trailer here and look out for Aussie Rachel Griffith.
The first single from the soundtrack, Get Up by Ciara, features Chamillionaire and was released a few days ago. Also on the soundtrack is Sean Paul, Chris Brown, Kelis, Clipse [on seperate tracks] and the welcome return of Petey Pablo.
