When the Ying Yang Twins say they’re doing an album that will be an ode to Miami’s 2 Live Crew, I’ll confess, I get a little excited. Even if the Atlanta duo are teaming up with Wyclef Jean for the whole LP, the announcement of the ‘teaser’ single being called 1st Booty On Duty keeps hopes afloat.
However, upon listening to 1st Booty On Duty I must say dissapointment sets in when you hear the same [read: exact same] production. What’s worse, the ‘official’ first single, Dangerous, has a distinct Wyclef influence [read: fuckup] with Collipark or ex-fugees bassplayer, Duplessis, not improving things at all.

Things do get better when they ingeniusly flip Black Betty to “black baby”.

And hell, stripper music is stripper music.
