Young Jeezy took up the #1 spot last week in sales from Def Jam for The Inspiration. 352,000 copies in the first week and growing is a great end for the label that had more downs than ups this year.
Jeezy’s 2005 effort, Let’s Get It: Thug Motivation, did about half this year’s number. Of course, Jeezy appeared on TRL a week and a half before The Inspiration was released.

Not so good is Ghostface Killah’s numbers for his second LP this year, More Fish. First week was 36,000 copies for his followup to Fishscale, which many might have seen as an unnecessary release. The numbers reflect that.
The idea was flawed from inception. Jay-z asking Ghost to record a second album within something like a few months notice. Granted, expectations weren’t high. Most people were looking at More Fish as mainly Fishscale left-overs, and it was. It’s just a shame that a rounded album like Fishscale may be clouded by such a stale follow-up.
I’m always happy to hear more Ghost on tracks, I almost never tire of it; but More Fish should have been a mixtape.

Why Is There A Picture Of Tyrese When He’s Not Mentioned Anywhere In The Article? Granted, I Love To Look At Him But I’m Confused
