DJ Carl Blaze Dies

New York DJ unfortunately passes away after shooting

Sad news for everybody, Power 105.1’s DJ Carl Blaze has unfortunately died after gunshot wounds sustained earlier this month.

Although preliminary reports suggested he was shot 16 times, Carl Blaze was shot 13 times and there were hopes he could survive the attack if he made it through the initial days.

Speaking to allhiphop.com, Power 105.1’s Déjà Vu gave her thoughts on the shooting in a previous interview.

“It hit hard for me personally, because I was on the air when I heard the news. When I delivered the info to my audience, I had a semi-breakdown on the mic,” she said. “The frailty of life was heightened in my mind. It was as if someone had punched me in the stomach. Life is too short for senseless violence.”

Police still have no motive for the shooting, but will be speaking with one woman they think may have been involved.
