Kool G Rap to drop new album Half A Klip in September
Half A Klip will feature production from legends DJ Premier, Marley Marl and Domingo, who will also be co-executive producer for the album. A DJ Premier-produced single will hit stores in August.
After signing with Rawkus and having the brakes applied even further to his career, it looks like G Rap has decided to sign with a real label and get things done. The Queens legend has a new album, Half A Klip, dropping in September via Latchkey Recordings and Chinga Chang Records. That’s right, Chinga Chang Records. The name you know and trust. I honestly know nothing about the label, except that on their website they spell the word ‘career’ as ‘carrear’, which rings alarm bells.
Regardless of the label however, G Rap’s album will feature production from legends DJ Premier, Marley Marl and Domingo, who will also be co-executive producer for the album. A DJ Premier-produced single will hit stores in August.
Half A Klip will be in stores 9/11/07.
