Pics from the shoot of Busta Rhymes' new vid 'We Made It' featuring Mike Shinoda and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park

Busta Rhymes teams with Linkin Park for his new single/video “We Made It” from his forthcoming 8th studio album BLESSED, release date TBA. Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington, and Mike Shinoda will appear in the video, directed by Chris Robinson.

We reported on this one a few days back. Official word from the label is ‘release date TBA’, although we’ve previously been told June 17. Hip hop album release dates aren’t exactly rock solid tho so don’t hold us to that. Meanwhile, here’s some pics of Busta on his white guy grind.

As predicted by 50 Cent, Buck responded to the Unit's MTV interview in song, but it's not the loaded dis anthem Fif was expecting. Buck's new record is called "My Interview," and he speaks frankly in the song about some of the recent issues.

As of now, Young Buck still hasn’t formally answered MTV News’ requests for comment on allegations made a few days ago by 50 Cent and G-Unit — allegations that drug problems (including cocaine and syrup) and inconsistent behavior were among the reasons why he was dismissed from the group. However, on Saturday afternoon (April 19), multiple sources sent MTV News a new song by the Tennessee MC.

As predicted by 50 Cent, Buck responded to the Unit’s MTV interview in song, but it’s not the loaded dis anthem Fif was expecting. Buck’s new record is called “My Interview,” and he speaks frankly in the song about some of the recent issues…

“Damn right I’m sipping syrup, flipping birds to get what I deserve,” Buck raps in the opening verse. “And I hear the same things that you heard/ That ‘50 kicked him out’ or ‘Buck sniffs coke and he flips out’/ It’s too late, the whole world know what I be about/ Sh–, I do make mistakes like any other man/ Sh–, I recoup off an album, quicker than you can … Am I loyal? Dr. Dre can answer that for ya.”

The second verse — although Buck doesn’t mention 50’s or his own name — could be interpreted as a reference to his and Fif’s once-close relationship and its deterioration. Buck makes Biblical references to Cain and Abel in the lyrics.

On the chorus, an unknown performer sings, “It ain’t nothing I ain’t been through/ Seen the evil sh– that men do.”

Buck comes in, declaring, “This ain’t nothing to me.”

The singer rejoins the chorus, crooning, “Muthaf—- we ain’t been cool.”

As the record closes out, Buck ends with a sermon-like rhyme, admitting, “I had my hand and nose in the ‘D.’ ”

Although it is still unclear where the song will officially appear, producer J.A. recently told MTV News that he and Buck are working on a mixtape called Honorable Discharge: Cashville Chronicles that should be out in the coming weeks. Buck also has a DVD called “A Billion Buck$” slated for release June 10.

Although he is no longer a member of the group, Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records. According to 50, Buck will also appear on the Unit’s Terminate on Sight LP when it is released June 24.

Not sure why exactly this one’s called Pain, but it’s pretty dope anyway. Game teams up with Keyshia Cole to do his usual name-drop-o-rama, and Keyshia even joins in by shouting out Mary J Blige in the end. The name dropping is justified in this particular track as Game runs through his experiences growing up listening to hip hop since 1985.

Everyone gets a shoutout here, even Black Rob! Tony Toni Tone, New Edition, LL Cool J, Kool Herc, Naughty By Nature, Big Daddy Kane, Ice Cube … Surprisingly I don’t think I heard him say Dr Dre on this track. Seriously, he can do it! Three whole verses of Dre-free raps! Pat yourself on the back Jayceon, you did it.

This one’s from Game’s upcoming third and “final” album LAX, dropping June 24.

These are looking NICE. About 400x better than the snoozefest that was Kanye’s Bapestas. The sole is dope, it’s reminding me of the Revolutions. Nice traditional black/white/red colourway, and the chunky tongue with a big strap is basically giving people exactly what they want.

Nice Kicks had the jump on these after Ye rocked em at The Grammys and then found some behind the scenes pics of the kicks in a new colourway. This is the most recent pic of the sneaker, leaked on Kanye’s Blog. Still no word on what Nike’s plan is with this thing.

Shoot to Kill or Lock & Load? Nah. 50 Cent has abandoned the previous two names he was playing with for the June 24 G-Unit LP, but finally the Queens collective has settled on a title.

“T.O.S.,” Tony Yayo revealed Tuesday in the MTV offices, as he sat next to 50 and Lloyd Banks. (See more from this interview in the Newsroom blog — where Fif says he might downsize his house so the G-Unit will party elsewhere — and talks about his recent weight loss and upcoming film.)

“Terminate on Sight,” Fif explained. “It’s like a spinoff — the sequel to [G-Unit's 2003 debut] Beg for Mercy. It was a statement towards the competition, towards other artists. T.O.S. is the version where you get more aggressive. This record embodies that. I kinda know where I need to go, because I tested the waters with the material I put out [on our mixtapes]. I get to tell with the response to certain records where I need to be and chill out from other stuff…”

Last week, 50 announced that G-Unit member Young Buck had been relieved of his duties as part of the crew but was still signed to G-Unit Records as a solo artist. On Tuesday, Fif revealed that Buck is still contractually bound to be in the group as well but, for the most part, will not participate in their activities. Buck is featured on the album’s first two singles, “Rider Part 2″ and “I Like the Way She Do It,” as well as a couple of other cuts from the project.

“He’ll still be on those records,” 50 said. “I wouldn’t pull him off of the records. I like the records the way they are. He’s on the [album] three or four times. He’s not gonna be in the videos, but he can shoot [videos for] his solo project when he’s done — when he gets himself together.”

Buck’s ouster, according to the Unit, was not just a 50 Cent choice. Banks and Yayo were in full agreement with the move.

“Before I make the decision, my decision is based on their discomfort to the situation,” 50 detailed. “I can withstand it more because what he’s doing isn’t important. I’ll be like, ‘What did he say? Who was listening?’ He’ll throw tantrums because he’s emotional. He says things.”

50 admitted that it was Buck’s recent behavior that prompted him to distance himself from his once-close group member. One of the last straws happened a couple of months ago, when Buck jumped onstage with Lil Wayne and Baby. Prior to that, Buck and 50 Cent had publicly denounced the Cash Money Millionaires. Buck had even made a verse dissing Wayne on the G-Unit track “The Party Ain’t Over.” And, of course, there was the interview that surfaced, in which Buck said he never received a royalty check from G-Unit Records. All these situations have the G-Unit General saying that it is fair to compare Buck to the Game, who was acrimoniously ousted from G-Unit in 2005.

“As far as Buck is concerned, he can be compared to Game because he did some of the same things,” 50 added. “He went on and said he was cool with some of the people that it isn’t public I’m cool with. The public’s impression is [that] me and these people have issues. So how are you cool and we down with each other? When a person has that much inconsistencies in their character, how can you value them or call them a friend when you don’t know what you gonna say or do tomorrow? That was the same issues I had with Nas. Nas didn’t do anything to me. He was just so wishy-washy that I said, ‘I can’t value a friendship with you.’ You can’t gauge who they are. You call them a friend for what? So tomorrow when it’s convenient for them to go in another direction, regardless what position it puts you in, they’ll just do it?

“I’m a Cancer,” 50 added. “I’ll pull back and I’ll cut you off — I don’t care — once it gets to the point where it doesn’t make sense to me.”

“We feel the same way,” Banks said. “If 50 gets resistance, we get the same resistance.”

“50 took him and made him who he is today,” Tony Yayo weighed in. “Where I’m from, you don’t bite the hands that feed you. I just get confused. I just remember not having nothing. I never will bite the hand that feeds me.”

The most staggering assertion 50 made of his former Unit member’s behavior was that Buck has a drug problem, alleging that he’s gained knowledge of Buck using cocaine and sipping on syrup (commonly a mixture of promethazine and codeine), the latter of which played a role in Pimp C’s death earlier this year.

“Buck’s probably high right now,” he said, adding sarcastically, “He doesn’t even get high anymore — he just maintains his [high]. You have to get sober to be high,” 50 said. “When they say, ‘Party like a rock star,’ he goes beyond what they are talking about. Multiple, different sh–.”

Despite multiple attempts, MTV News was unable to reach Young Buck or any of his representatives for comment about these allegations at press time.

50 thinks he knows what Buck’s next move will be: a dis record. “That’s inevitable,” he said about Buck coming at the Unit on wax. “In confusion, you gonna try to do anything you can do to try and be aggressive. I predict he’ll say disrespectful things as we move forward.”

In fact, up-and-coming producer J.A. has informed MTV News that he and Buck are currently working on a mixtape called Honorable Discharge: Cashville Chronicles.

Buck’s last public word on the friction with 50 came in last month’s XXL magazine: “I’m just comfortable with my n—as, and I don’t wanna see myself parting from something so dear to me.”

This was actually revealed a few days back and we somehow missed it, but there’s no way we weren’t going to post this amazing photo combining for the fist time a fitted cap and a Kiss The Cook apron and the fact that Jazze Phizzle cooked a 6 foot pizza with whole pork chops on it.

The synopsis for the first episode of the web-based show is as follows:
“The first “webisode” features the songwriter making a Pork Chop Pizza, which was inspired by a recent trip to the fridge where only pizza and pork chops were available to eat. The recipe is simple – a pizza pie six feet in diameter with cooked pork chops sprinkled on top.”

Pork chops sprinkled on top? That’s incredible. You can sprinkle salt, sugar or a similar condiment on a meal, but pork chops are in a whole other league. If this dude is trying to turn pork chops into a condiment to be sprinkled on meals, I salute him.

New vid from Compton's Tyga featuring Travis of Gym Class Heroes and a cameo from Lil Wayne

Tyga Coconut Juice Music Video

I don’t really go for the ‘put the lime in the coconut’ hook on this one, but that beat is pretty dope. This is the new vid from Tyga feat. Travis McCoy from Gym Class Heroes. Don’t forget you can <a href="http://www.grounduphiphop.com/2008/04/12/free-tyga-mixtape-download/" target="_blank>download Tyga’s new mixtape too, and there’s gonna be another free download on May 10, before Tyga’s album drops on June 10.

The vid itself is pretty standard hip hop vid stuff, with kinda pointless cameos from Lil Wayne and Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz. It’s cool tho, give it a look.

Busta Rhymes is shaping up to drop another hot album. His latest, The Big Bang had some great tracks and two big singles but still failed to hit the big sales he and label Aftermath were hoping for. It was an interesting failure considering his collabs with Stevie Wonder and Rick James among others.

Next up is Busta’s eighth album Blessed, scheduled to drop June 17. The album will feature Groundup favourite Throw Da Water On Em and a new single We Made It featuring Linkin Park and produced by Cool & Dre. The video, directed by Chris Robinson will be shot today (April 15) in Los Angeles. It will feature Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and tragically named frontman Chester Bennington

When asked about the track, Busta gave a typically modest and understated comment: “This is one of those songs that can’t be described better than touching the souls of the common people” says Rhymes. Right.

"If I'm supposed to be the muthafucking boss, then I should be putting my [own] shit out"

Slim Thug didn’t name his upcoming album Boss of All Bosses for nothing. The H-Town rapper with the booming baritone plans to release his next solo project independently. “If I’m supposed to be the muthafucking boss, then I should be putting my [own] shit out,” he explained.

So he met with Star Trak/ Geffen/ Interscope execs recently and, according to him, by later this week, he should officially be off the label and free to put out his next album on his own…

“I sat down with the general manager,” he said. “Really, I just sat down and told them, ‘Y’all over here don’t understand the type of music I do, and y’all hold me back while y’all trying to get your situation together. I ain’t really got that time to sit on the sideline while you do this. Let me pay y’all. Y’all gave me all this money. Listen, I’ll give y’all some money off the new album.’ I just can’t sit on the sideline while they do their sh–. He sat down with [Interscope Chairman] Jimmy [Iovine], and we all came up with something we could all agree with. It ain’t no hard feelings.”

Slim said that since he signed on the dotted line at the ‘Scope, there has been too much turnover at the company. Publicists, A&Rs and other employees have gotten pink slips, leaving him to figure out who is who among the new folks.

Now, with his newfound freedom, he said to expect his album to be out by late summer. But first up will be the boys in blue: Tha Boss Hogg Outlawz are set to release their second project through Koch Records. Then it will be the boss’ turn.

“The album is done,” he said. “The paperwork is done. Then singles should follow.”

Slim first expressed his discontent about being on a major label to Mixtape Monday in late 2006. He definitely wasn’t feeling that his debut, Already Platinum, was only certified gold — especially because he was consistently able to sell hundreds of thousands of records by himself throughout the South prior to signing with Star Trak/ Interscope in 2004.

“I thought it should have went way farther,” he said then. “I was an independent artist that did all the work myself. Once I signed a major deal, I kind of felt like, ‘I’m signed to a major label, oh, they gonna do all the work now.’ ”

Regarding his Boss of All Bosses, he said, “It’s gonna be different. You gonna hear a lot more Houston records. The feedback I got from my fans [about the] last album was that they wanted to hear a lot more Houston records. So I worked with people out of Houston, a bunch of producers I came up with. I did, like, 30 songs with these cats, so I really got the album done. I’m gonna get, like, two from Pharrell [Williams] and maybe work with a few other big producers, but keep it Houston.”
